Since it will almost certainly be raining on Sunday, you are invited to take a tour of Vigo's history through the Pacheco Photographic Archive. Vigo is a city that is rapidly changing with much of the environment being redesigned and redeveloped. Of particular interest to recent newcomers to the city, the archive documents life here for the past two centuries from the late nineteenth century up to the 1970's. I want to see trams in Vigo, trains in Chapela, and the construction of the suspension bridge in 1973! I will book an appointment in advance to see the collections not on display.

Please sign up in good time so I can let them know how many people to expect. Limited to two people per room at any one time , but there is around 160000 exhibits. Entrance is free.

Meet at the venue at Casa das Artes, Rúa Policarpo Sanz, 15 for 12noon. Depending on how long we stay there, if there is interest, we can eat at El Molino, 42, Policarpo Sanz after, a great cafe/restaurant with good food, service and atmosphere, and modest prices (€1-10). It closes at 2:30 on Sundays.
