El Puente Sampaio a Ermita de pendeda circular por el río Verdugo

Intermediate hike along the Verdugo taking in Ponte Sampaio bridge, Ermita de Peneda and Monte Peneda from which there is a great view over the estuary. No special skills, but good fitness needed. Distance 11.7km, desnivel 330m, walking time 3.5hours + stops. Surfaces are mixed, there is some paved walking, but after several days rain this is not a bad thing. Bastones may be an advantage for the climb as some natural surfaces could still be wet. Weather should be fine, wear sturdy hiking shoes, light clothing, and bring plenty of water and snacks.

Meet at the car park in Arcade at 11:00am. We should finish the walk by about 3pm. There may be opportunity for a drink afterwards for those not in a hurry.

2. If you need a lift from Vigo, please indicate when you sign up: places are limited. I can offer a lift from Guixar station at 10:30am, maximum places 4. Others may offer lifts by arrangement, you need to agree a place and communicate! €5 fuel contribution to the driver.
