Join the power duo of Nicole Scheffler and Wes Reisz of VMware as they discuss trends and considerations in a hybrid and multi-cloud world. There are numerous factors when choosing a cloud strategy, and each cloud provider service has its own strengths and weaknesses. This presentation will help break down these complexities from a development standpoint and explore how multi-cloud and hybrid strategies help create scalable, reliable environments.

PRESENTERS
Nicole Scheffler is on a mission to spark success by leading and serving. Her career spans various roles as a sales systems engineer, technical marketing engineer, and security consulting engineer. She now spends most of her time as the Engineering Leader at VMware. In July 2020, she published her book Pillars of Success with Jack Canfield and is a certified Canfield Success Trainer. Nicole also has published a wide variety of courses and resources for women in tech including the award-winning podcast Diva Tech Talk, and also teaches tech courses at Davenport and Lansing Community College.

Wesley Reisz is a Platform Architect at VMware and former VP of Technology at Section (an Edge Compute Platform). Wes chairs the San Francisco edition of QCon and formerly served as the product owner for all English speaking QCon conferences worldwide. He is also a passionate educator, having taught for 13 years as an adjunct professor for the University of Louisville. In addition to his role at VMware, Wes is the co-host of The InfoQ podcast, serving senior early adopter/early majority developers and architects with interviews from some of software’s most important thought leaders.
