What we’re about
We are a Brighton community for anyone interested in how digital technologies and software products impact the planet. We run regular talks, workshops and roundtables always with pizza and drinks provided.
We are very proud to be sponsored by Green Software Foundation and Silicon Brighton.
Silicon Brighton are a community driven organisation putting our City on the map as a technology hub and spotlighting the region for talent and investment.
Green Software Foundation is a non-profit creating a trusted ecosystem of people, standards, tooling and best practices for green software. They aim to change the culture of building software across the tech industry, so sustainability becomes a core priority to software teams.

See all- Measuring the Environmental Impact of Digital ProductsRunway East, Brighton and Hove
We are running a roundtable workshop event to explore the subject of measuring the environmental impacts of digital software.
There are many software measurement projects emerging from the Green Software community, mostly open source, which is fantastic - but which ones are appropriate for which use cases, which are relevant to you?
This is what we will explore at this workshop. The projects and options available for measuring the environmental impact of your software. Front end, back end, websites, cloud infrastructure. It's a potential minefield that we are looking to demystify together.
Come join us!Check out the Green Software Brighton website for links to previous talks.
Arrive from 18:00 for pizza and drinks. Workshop will start at 18:30. We always head for a drink and a chat locally afterwards too.
Thank you to Runway East for use of their space to host our events (and the pizza) and to Silicon Brighton and the Green Software Foundation for supporting us.
