Secord Pond, Intermediate Hike (Free)

Join us for a hike on one of the last days of summer 2025. We will hike to Secord Pond, visit the famous Pet Cemetery and hike back. If we have time, we will explore a couple of abandoned buildings. Secord Pond is a hidden jem in the Durham network of trails. Come out and enjoy the morning.

For those who are interested, we can do lunch at Annina's in the hamlet of Greenwood (where they filmed Schitts Creek). Great food.

Note

• The hike distance is +/- 8km at a moderate pace.
• Park on the shoulder of the road.
• We'll meet at the wooden gate you see in the picture.
• Dress according to the weather.
• Pack water/snacks.
• No 🚾 so plan accordingly.
• The hike will be posted "Canceled" if the weather doesn't cooperate.

To participate in this hike, you and guests need to adhere to the rules and agree by a reply of "Yes" to the liability
