About us
I started this group because I believe sketching is much more enjoyable when you have a community to share the process with. Whether you are picking up a pencil for the first time or you have been filling sketchbooks for years, the goal here is to learn from one another in a relaxed, low-pressure environment. We meet regularly to work on our skills, share techniques, and talk through the challenges of capturing what we see on paper.
Our sessions are structured to be part practice and part conversation. We usually spend the first hour focused on a specific technique or prompt, with plenty of time for me to offer guidance and feedback to anyone who wants it. The second half is dedicated to open sketching and catching up, giving us a chance to get to know each other better. If you are looking for a supportive circle to help you stay consistent with your art, I would love to have you join us.
