Birding 101 (Birding for Beginners)

Hello, this event is targeted to amateur birders or people who are interested in getting into bird watching and identification. We will be walking along the Black Marsh trail and possibly Observation trail for most of the duration. During the event our rangers will give a demonstration on how to properly use binoculars and review the "birding rules", as well as share interesting information and tips which they have picked up. The event will highlight native birds and wildlife.

Be aware
Birds are not guaranteed to be seen also, the rangers are not expert birders. This event is subject to time and date change due to inclement weather. The fee to enter the park is 3$ per vehicle with a Maryland tag and 5$ per vehicle with a tag from out of state.
