Topic: Wi-Fi hacking and Defense - How to keep your network safe.
Abstract:
The session will be a 2-hour hands-on workshop.
The session will explain the security issues with Wi-Fi, their weaknesses, tools to defeat them, and tools to protect them.
The session will explain what security you should use today, in October 2023.
Attendees are welcome to try attacks themselves, I will bring along some APs with preconfigured SSIDs.
Requirements:
An installed copy of Kali Linux with compatible Wi-Fi cards is required to follow along.

Bio:
Phil Morgan has spent a long time working with Wi-Fi: he remembers 802.11b being the new protocol! Phil has considerable experience in the industry, with expertise in routing, switching, collaboration, and security. He is a member of the IEEE, the WBA, and an active member of the IEEE 1932.1 working group. He is CCIE #5224, CWNE #322, and CWISE #4 and possesses over 50 other industry certifications and qualifications.
He is the CTO of NetCertExpert, Inc. A California corporation focusing on Networking, Wireless, and Cyber Security. NetCertExpert, Inc. is an industry leader in consulting, training, and developing courseware, focusing on Wi-Fi and cyber security.
