Certification: Grants access to the Xcarve CNC machine with membership or maker day pass.
Learn the foundations of CNC routing in this beginner-friendly class. You’ll design a 2D object, use VCarve software to create toolpaths, and safely operate the Xcarve to cut your design from wood. This hands-on session will give you the confidence to take on future CNC projects.
You’ll learn:
- Basic CNC machining concepts and toolpathing
- How to use the Xcarve machine and its components
- Creating toolpaths in VCarve software
- Setting up and running the Xcarve to cut a project
All tools and materials are provided. Supplies are included in the class fee.
Important Notes:
- A basic understanding of woodworking tools and digital design software is recommended.
- Class must be booked by 9 AM the day before.
- Wear shop-appropriate clothes: long pants, close-toed shoes, and tie back long hair.
- Arrive 10–15 minutes early and sign our release of liability.
