Making Coffee Bioplastic with EdibleMakerspace folks

Details
π336D King George's Avenue, Hackerspace
Turn coffee waste into homemade biodegradable plastic using baking ingredients. Join the EdibleMakerspace biohackers and the maker approach of learning-by-doing for a cooking-class style workshop where we discuss microplastics, sustainability, OpenScience, and of course, bioplastics. There will be a live demo of an easy to replicate recipe for bioplastic using coffee waste. The recipe lends itself to experimenting with other ingredients. Bring your own reusable container to take back a sample of the biopolymer that you are invited to cook up with others. Come join the conversation, try the samples, get hands-on with the cooking, or just listen and observe.
*Part of proceeds will go to sustaining Hackerspace beyond November 2024
