Few tools are more satisfying to use than a router. One minute you have a piece a wood, then, after a flurry of noise and sawdust, something that looks like a fragment of furniture or architecture.

We’ll talk about routers, router bits, ways of guiding the bit, using the router table, templates and jigs, and safety.

There will be hands-on exercises.

----------
Tool Time sessions are

  • practical explanations on how to use a specific tool we have Hack Manhattan.
  • discussions of techniques and applications for that tool.

They are not:

  • overviews of a family or general type of tool.
  • an presentation by an expert. I only claim that I probably know at least one thing about this tool that you don’t.
