ABSTRACT
I will be discussing the various aspects of launching a career in cyber security ranging from networking to degrees versus certifications and more!
BIO:
I am a Florida native, United States Air Force veteran, father, and infosec specialist. Upon my exit from the military, like a lot of folks that get out, I was not 100% sure what exactly I wanted to do except for that I knew I wanted to work with computers. Fortunately, I landed a position as a sys admin early on and soon realized that I loved the idea of learning how to protect companies from hackers and from there, the rest is history. I have obtained my bachelor’s degree, am actively going after my master’s along with infosec certifications and I have held several positions in the infosec space and am actively searching for my next opportunity.
