Code School is sponsoring the series and will provide food /drinks and access to the premium modules for everyone in attendance!
Goals - To collaboratively learn using personal project, the power of community, and CodeSchool.com (http://codeschool.com/). Learn from each other, and work together on a practical project that will help reinforce concepts.
Recommended background - Working knowledge of HTML, CSS, and Javascript. Please make sure to complete the first two jQuery modules on codeschool.com's javascript track (http://www.codeschool.com/paths/javascript). Looking for my jQuery practice? Try this jQuery coding challenge (https://github.com/JSRookies/jquery-faq) if you want more practice after completing the modules.
If you are coming to learn Ruby, make sure to have the Ruby interpreter installed. Chrome browser is recommended for JS hacking.
Bring your laptops, and create a free account on CodeSchool. See you there!
