I’d like to kickstart the committers / contributors meetup focused on Apache Hadoop YARN back once again, preferably, periodically every 2-3 months. I’ll shepherd the Bay Area one, and coordinate with others in other time-zones.

I’d like to propose the Bay Area meetup starting with one in the first week of May (Tuesday May 3), and Hortonworks can host this at our Santa Clara office (5470 Great America Parkway, Santa Clara, CA). I will take care of organizing, location etc for this first one. If it goes well, we can continue on a periodic calendar!

Expected Audience: If you are contributing to Apache Hadoop YARN project directly or indirectly, you are the right audience.

Non-audience: This is more a community meeting with lots of direct discussions than a series of tech-talks. So, if you are NOT involved with Apache Hadoop YARN project or if you are looking for general tech-talks about Hadoop YARN, you are in the wrong place!
