Hello and welcome to the Halifax Outdoor Adventurers!

Please note that membership dues apply. All new members have a 90 day free trial, and beyond that they will be asked to pay $5 annually to maintain their membership in the group.

In the meantime we look forward to seeing you out at one of our events (we generally average about 10 events per month)! Meeting up with a bunch of strangers can be intimidating at first. But our outdoor adventurers are a friendly group of people, and you will not regret making that first move to get out with us.

If you have questions, though, please feel free to ask and I will do what I can to assist.

We want this group to be a fun, positive, friendly place to hang out. To keep it that way I encourage you to bring any issues you might have to my attention, no matter how small. What's small to you might be part of a pattern where we can improve the group. We can't fix everything, but I promise to listen and try.

It's important that we do our best to help everyone stay safe and feel comfortable attending our events.

On another note, please remember that our volunteer organizers are not all certified leaders or guides. And some events even take us into areas where we have never been before. So do not forget that EACH PARTICIPANT IS RESPONSIBLE FOR THEMSELVES AT ALL TIMES (see our Risk and Waiver Acknowledgement document at;

Thanks again for joining our group, we usually have new events posted every week. I hope you find one you like soon and I look forward to meeting you in person.
