About us
Hi, I would like to find like-minded people here in Halle (Saale) or nearby who enjoy the craft of writing. I have not been able to find a local group so let’s try this thing!
My idea: We meet online and occasionally offline to chat and to write. I prefer to write in silence without sharing, but if people want to share and critique, then I’m open to adding an extra session to do just that. All languages welcome (I write mostly in English), all ages welcome (I’m 50+), all genders welcome (F here). Everyone must be kind and respectful.
I feel I need to clarify a few things, so here we go:
What this group is:
- A friendly place for writers of all levels, all genres, and all ages
- We are hybrid! This means we will meet mostly online, but occasionally IRL
What this group is not:
- A place to learn or practice English. You are of course welcome to write in English and practice your English that way
- A place to receive critique on your writing. If individual group members are interested in reading your writing: Great! But all we do here is write together in silence, keeping each other company and accountable
