The Halton Peel Humanist Community (HPHC) is delighted to welcome back our honored friend, Dr. Christopher DiCarlo, for an eye-opening talk on his new book: Building a God: The Ethics of Artificial Intelligence and the Race to Control It.
As artificial intelligence advances toward artificial general intelligence (AGI), this timely book poses critical ethical questions:

- How can we ensure they serve humanity’s best interests?
Dr. DiCarlo is a philosopher, educator, and author. He is a Senior Researcher at Convergence Analysis and teaches at The Life Institute at Toronto Metropolitan University. He is founder of Critical Thinking Solutions and host of the podcast All Thinks Considered, where he engages in thought-provoking discussions on contemporary issues.
