Important: Parking Information at the bottom
----------------------------------------------------------------

We live in uncertain times. Between geo-political and economic instabilities, an irreversible climate emergency and widespread biodiversity collapse, and the mass consolidation of wealth breeding even further inequities and forced displacements, simply reading the news or engaging with current events can feel overwhelming.

Anger and division and fear of the other seem to underpin these uncertainties. Dr. Michael Egan, a specialist in catastrophic history, reflects on the origins of alienation as cultural current, and the violence that accompanies it. He invites a crash-course tour of the modern world since the Enlightenment to identify the locus points for our contemporary malaise, and ends with an argument for a renewed sense of (and need for) hope.
