Hampton Roads Hikers Southside

Hi guys This is Alexandria Tannie Herbertson I took the summer off due to heat. I am ready to start the hiking again . I have explored numerous trails now in my area now and have found several amazing hikes. This one is called East Coast Greenway. It is between Elizabeth City and Chesapeake literally right off the 17 south. Very easy drive 65 MPH straight highway. Good parking also. Get on the 17 headed to Elizabeth City and get off at the South Mills turn and literally turn right into the parking lot. You will be at the South Mills 17 south exit and the 343 HWY exit. It is approximately 40 mins from Chesapeake trail is in the shade mostly and is 5 miles but we can stop and turn around at the 2.5 mile post easily to do 4-5 miles depending on group.
