9 AM Sunday. We leave promptly at 9:01. Starting early to beat the heat. Meet up SE CORNER OF PARKING LOT BEHIND the Food Lion/old Rite Aid @ 2817 Shore Dr Virginia Beach, VA 23451.(GPS 36.911568, -76.066089). Expected ~7 miles, ~2 hours. First part is about 30 min (1.75 mi) from the Food Lion parking lot to the Trail Center. The other 3-4 miles will be looping around the various trails, and then the 1.75mi back to the parking lot. Speed: Walking with the intent to be challenging (i.e. not strolling). In recognition of our bladders, we will be stopping at the Visitor/Trail center on the way in, and the way out. The Food Lion is also a great place to make a pit-stop before the hike. Hope to see you there!
