This group is for Orange County small business owners who keep hearing they should be using AI, and have never been shown how.
Every meetup is hands-on. Bring a laptop and you set things up on your own machine while we work through it together, rather than watching someone demo on a screen. Sessions are deliberately small so everyone gets help with their own work.
WHAT WE ACTUALLY DO
Set up AI tools that already exist and connect them to the systems you already pay for - email, calendar, CRM. Write prompts that work for your specific business rather than generic examples. Build a website you can edit yourself by describing the change you want. And learn to spot when AI is confidently wrong, which is the most important skill in the room.
No jargon and no assumed background. If you can use email, you can keep up.
WHO IT IS FOR
Owner-operated businesses and small teams - contractors and home services, dental and medical offices, real estate, restaurants, salons, e-commerce. Anyone doing repetitive admin a computer should be doing instead.
WHO RUNS IT
Henry Ashar. Twenty years in enterprise technology - Deloitte, Bandai Namco and Virgin Galactic. Founder of NILA, an AI intake platform used by CPA firms, and previously founded and sold TalentSwipe, an AI recruiting platform. Based in Irvine.
Sessions run online and in person around Orange County. Some are free and some are paid workshops - always stated up front on the event listing.
