Have a baby boomer book discussion that combines music sociology and history

There was a great book that came out about two years ago called Fire And Rain , it gave a thought provoking overview of the musc scene in 1970. This was the year that the Beatles and Simon and Garfunkel split . The 60's dream was going sour after Altamont and the Manson Killings . Kent State and Jackson State Universities experienced campus killings by the authorities that spring . The singer -songwritter movment was replacing acid-rock . James Taylor and Carole King for example . Let's discuss the book , what music we were listening too , what impact the era had on us personally any. You needn't read this book cover to cover , just get the overview of what the author David Browne was disussing in the chapters .
