Welcome to Hangul Hangouts. This group is for anyone who has been curious about learning Korean but is not sure where to start. We focus on the absolute basics, primarily helping each other master the Hangul alphabet and build a foundation for simple, everyday conversation. Whether you are interested in the culture, have family connections, or just enjoy the challenge of learning a new script, you will find a welcoming space here.
Our meetups are informal and structured around practice rather than lectures. We meet regularly to review characters, practice pronunciation, and help one another navigate common phrases. It does not matter if you have never picked up a textbook or if you are just brushing up on what you have learned online; the goal is to learn together in a relaxed environment where it is okay to make mistakes. We look forward to meeting you and helping you get started on your language journey.
