Ascension day hike from Frognerseteren to Sognsvann

Details
Hi Everybody,
As you may notice, this hike will be on a weekday rather than at the weekend for a change, as the coming Thursday happens to be one of the many public-/church holidays this time of year - Ascension - so why not make some good use of that extra day off and spend it on a hike in the woods? :)
This hike will take us on the path from Frognerseteren to Sognsvann, with stops at one or more of the cabins along the way where you can buy some food - or bring your own.
Finally the spring is full on and summer looks like it is coming closer after after a somewhat cold and wet early part of the season. The weather forecast so far looks OK, but as always in Norway, it's advisable to bring a packable rain jacket and to wear good shoes that will not be ruined by a bit of water/wet ground... There are still plenty of places in the forests that will not be completely dry.
The walk is on both gravel roads and some forest paths, approximately 11 km, and we will most likely arrive at Songsvann around 3pm.
Attention!
Ruter has announced construction work on the tracks between Majorstuen and Frøen on the Frognerseter line for the period of May 25th to May 28th. This means everyone coming for the hike on Thursday will have to calculate some extra time needed to get to Frognerseteren.
The distance from Majorstuen to Frøen station is only about 700m, but you will need to take an earlier train (any line) to Majorstuen and then walk or take bus 46 from there to Frøen before getting on the train towards Frognerseteren.
Please be on time. I will catch the T-bane which leaves Frøen station at 10:29 am.
Bring a big smile and an open mind - looking forward to seeing you.
