Mt. Langley Backpacking Trip 🏔️ - 2 Nights

Details
Feel free to join me for a 2-night backpacking trip up Mt Langley. For those who don’t know or have not done it before, Mt. Langley is one of the 14ers in the Sierras and can be see right across from Mt. Whitney. Total mileage and gain for this trip would be about 20-miles roundtrip with almost 6000 of elevation gain. Please know your limit as there is no sweep for this trip and you may experience altitude sickness. Drinking lots of water a couple days before would help! I will reach out to interested parties to see if you’re fit for this type of trip just in case.
I have 5 permits to backpacking in starting Fri, 7/25. We can either carpool (split gas cost) or meet at Horseshoe Meadows Campground. If you are driving separately, please coordinate with me ahead of time to meet at TH. The plan is to arrive at the trailhead around 9am to start the hike. We will backpack into Lake 4/5 (6 miles) the first day and setup camp to acclimate. On day 2, we will summit Mt. Langley via the Old Army Pass (steep but direct and about 4-miles round trip). Then we will pack out to go home on the 3rd day.
Temps will range around mid 70s during the day and low 50s at night so dress appropriately. Cost is $6/person for the overnight permit. If anyone has any questions, reach out to me! Thank you and hope to see you on the trails.
