HIKE OVERVIEW

Get ready for an unforgettable morning along one of Southern California’s most stunning and iconic coastal cliffs! This 🌊 Point Vicente Beach Walk 🌴 is your ticket to ocean breeze euphoria, scenic blufftop trails, dramatic seaside vistas, and perhaps even a gray whale sighting if luck is on our side. This is not your average beach walk — it’s a journey through history, natural beauty, and unmatched tranquility.

Our adventure begins at the CALLE ENTRADERO PARKING AREA, conveniently located near the Vicente Bluffs Reserve and Golden Cove. This historic stretch of the Palos Verdes Peninsula was once home to the Tongva people and later served as a coastal lookout during WWII. Now, it’s a haven for hikers, birdwatchers, and those who crave wild, open ocean views.

In late May, you’ll enjoy cool marine breezes, clear skies, and coastal wildflowers painting the trail with color. The trail itself hugs the rugged cliffline, offering constant views of Catalina Island, dramatic rock formations, and waves crashing against the shore below. With a gentle but steady elevation gain, this hike delivers light cardio with a major payoff.

Expect a leisurely pace, photo stops, and plenty of time to breathe in the salty air. Total distance is 5.7 miles out-and-back, perfect for a morning reset by the sea.
