About us
This group is for like-minded people who enjoy discussing the big and the hard questions. This is not a group for those that already KNOW they have the answers to the hard questions. Rather, the group is for those that have hard questions, like to ponder possible answers to such questions, and want to see how their answers or philosophies stand up to some hard scrutiny.
Our topics lean towards the truth, theology, philosophy, science, morality, and spirituality.
Everyone is welcome whether you're a Buddhist, Communist, Materialist, Christian, Atheist, Mentalist, Seeker, Agnostic, Freethinker, Skeptic, Humanist, Heretic, Do-gooder, Scientist, Philosopher, Doubter, Faithhealer, or anything else. All are welcome. Indeed, diversity of thought is highly desired.
The group will involve fun and intense discussions like what you might have with good friends in a coffee shop. We usually meet at the Panera's on Wm. Cannon at 7 p.m. on Thursdays. Usually the first or third Thursday of the month.
After the meeting, we hang out on the patio to socialize. If the weather is cold or rainy, we will go to a nearby restaurant.
We have four core rules:
1. Mutual respect always
2. Allow space for all to participate
3. Stay on topic
4. Always seek the truth no matter where that leads us
