HDDG 43: Flexing on Flexures (and a happy hour!)

Details
The Hardware Didactic Galactic is back, and we're going to be doing this bigger than ever!
Join us on the last Thursday of the month with talks and hardware galore! Bring what you're working on! Show us what you got!
This month, we'll be joined by Amy Qian (https://amymakesstuff.com/), Didactic regular, and someone who knows how to make stuff.
This last November, Amy presented a workshop at the Hackaday Superconference, where she gave a demonstration on flexures , or simple springs made out of plastic and metal. These design features provide spring force, constrain degrees of freedom, make clicky sounds, and are the basis for all snap-fit enclosures. If you've ever wondered how to design a snap-fit enclosure, this is the talk for you.
This is a special event because we're teaming up with Hardware Happy Hour (https://www.meetup.com/hardwarehappyhoursf/) to bring you all the latest hardware being built in the garages of San Francisco! You are heavily encouraged to bring the hardware you're working on. We'll also have a session of lightning talks, where you can talk about the projects you're working on. Bring a Zip drive if you have one!
Refreshments and drinks will be served, and there will be an after-party bar down the street (Alchemist, on 3rd between Brannan and Townsend).
Streaming Live at 7:00pm! Watch the Live Stream:
