109th SF Hardware Meetup @ Studio 45 | Smarter Hardware with AI

Our next Hardware Meetup aligns with TED AI’s week! We’re hosting an unofficial after party discussing the intersection of AI in hardware.

We’ll have hackers from a 24hr hackathon share what they built to discuss the implications of what can be done when the latest machine learning models get added to the latest hardware.

We have a great group of guest speakers

• Yosun is founder/CTO of AIMagical and is building a spatial computing AI platform "Napkinmatic 3D" that enables humans to create at the speed of thought - while also using a hybrid human+AI team to build lots of AI 3D XR native apps. Her early AR e-commerce apps won 2 TechCrunch Disrupt Hackathon Grand Prizes and also her app that auto-magically turns what kids write into 3D AR animated scenes won SIGGRAPH Real-Time Live 2020. Somewhat magically, she has never raised funding before so has just built everything herself.
• Jer is currently the Head of Hardware at R-Zero systems ($170M raised) where he invents and manufactures UVC disinfection technologies to make indoor spaces safer. Products he has designed over his 10+ year career have won 5 Red Dot Design Awards and once served coffee to 2Chainz.
