Rocktown Writers Guild Monthly Meeting

Details
Come discover your Harrisonburg/Rockingham Writing Community.
Whether you're scribbling your first poem or plotting your tenth novel, this is your chance to meet and network with other authors.
If you've been looking for that boost, that community, that connection—you won't find a better place than the RWG.
April's speaker is Lee Zion of The Daily News-Record. Lee has worked in various jobs in journalism for almost 35 years, including reporter, copy editor, page designer, editor, and, for more than four years, the owner of a small newspaper in Minnesota, The Lafayette Nicollet Ledger, now called The Nicollet County Ledger. He has worked in Alaska, California, Connecticut, Florida, Minnesota, North Carolina, North Dakota, Pennsylvania, South Dakota, Virginia and West Virginia — always moving around because nobody could stand him for too long.
Well, not exactly, Lee had worked at The Daily News-Record from 2003 to 2006, and was rehired at the paper in March 2024. He will share one-tenth of his knowledge about newspaper writing, because if he shared all of it, the meeting would last three days.
While we meet at the library, the RWG is neither endorsed by, nor affiliated, with the library.
