HCPG Explores The Shore - Assateague National Seashore, Blackwater NWR

Join HCPG at Assateague National Seashore on Saturday, October 18th and Sunday the 19th.

***Participants are encouraged to arrive Friday night for hotel check in to be ready for Saturday morning 8am meeting. ***

Assateague National Seashore provides an opportunity to photograph the wild horses and other wildlife of the island. On Sunday, we will take an hour and a half drive to Blackwater Wildlife Refuge, Wildlife Drive. There we will have a chance to photograph the Maryland fall bird migration.

Plan on lodging near Berlin, MD.

Upon registration, participants will receive a participation packet with information about the area and safety considerations.

NOTICE:

• Participants are responsible to arrange for their own overnight lodging.
• Participants are responsible for their own transportation to and from said lodging, as well to Assateague National Seashore. Carpooling is strongly encouraged.
• The tour of Assateague National Seashore and Blackwater Wildlife refuge is an outdoor, rain or shine event. Participants are responsible to dress appropriately, and to protect themselves and their equipment from all weather conditions and environmental hazards.
• Both Assateague National Seashore and Blackwater Wildlife refuge are natural, wilderness environments

• Assateague National Seashore entrance fee is $25.00 per vehicle. National Park Pass accepted. Plan on carpooling.
• Blackwater Wildlife refuge fee is $3.00 per vehicle for Wildlife Dr, honor system.
