Location: Downtown Bel Air (meet in front of Courthouse)

  • DATE: 22 Feb 2026 (Sunday)
  • Time: 10:00am-12:00pm
  • Price: FREE
  • SUMMARY:

How many times have you taken or looked at a photo and have a hard time defining who/what the subject is? Sometimes it is difficult to convey to your viewers the true nature, beauty, emotion, or impact of what inspired you to take the picture. How do you make the viewer see what you want to show them?

Walk with me, and let's take an adventure in defining and separating your subject. we will go through some techniques to help you make your subject stand out, how to compose an image to get your viewers attention, and guide them to that subject. We will also talk about some editing tips that may help.

Each person will have a chance to select a subject and explain why you selected it, then everyone will take turns capturing that subject and conveying your inspiration using what we discuss. Post your images to the FB Album so all to see.

Equipment Needed:

  • DSLR/Mirrorless Camera/Cell Phone
  • Lens: Any lens will do, but prime lenses will be best
  • Flash Trigger (If you have a Godox trigger, bring it and use my flashes)
  • ND Filters if you have them

Camera familiarity PRIOR to event (Refer to your associated manual):
- Know how to use your camera in Manual Mode
- Know how to adjust the Exposure using Aperture, Shutter, and ISO
- Know how to connect your flash trigger to your camera (CH 15, Group A)

I am no expert at these techniques, but come with me and we can learn and experiment together.

There is no cost and no limit to people.

Let's go for a walk!!!
