The Magic of the Drop
Water drop photography is a specialized subgenre of high-speed photography that focuses on capturing the impact and interaction of droplets. It transforms the mundane act of a dripping tap into a vibrant display of:
- Sculptural Form: Capturing the precise millisecond when two drops collide to form crowns, mushrooms, or abstract umbrellas.
- Vibrant Colour: By using food colouring, tinted gels on flashes, or colourful backdrops, photographers can create psychedelic, dream-like scenes.
