Teacher Bio: Eugenia discovered yoga during college as a way to balance her fast paced and demanding lifestyle. Her practice provides her with a place of solace, throughout years of work in the highly intense environments of management consulting and technology. As a lifelong learner, this ultimately led her to complete her 200 hour yoga teacher training with Yogaworks as well as Trauma Informed Yoga & Somatics certificate with Collective Resislience. Her aspiration as a yoga teacher is to create an inclusive and welcoming class for people of all backgrounds to find a sense of inner peace, joy and inspiration through the practice.

Class Description: An all inclusive Vinyasa class that allows you to slow down your mind and reconnect with your inner self. The class will begin with gentle stretches and move through a more rhythmic flow before winding down to relaxation. The class aims to build both strength and flexibility while bringing you back to the present so you can rediscover your internal peace, strength and vitality.

Teacher bio: My name is Sudha. I am a hard core sports gal and life for me meant running and doing activities each day. A major ankle injury set me back and opened me up to Yoga. Initially it started because that was the only exercise I could do but the deeper I got into the principles of yoga and its mind body connection, the more my life changed. After finishing my YTT, I taught every Sunday at Dolores Park, San Francisco for a few years. I had to stop for a few years because of surgery and other turbulences of life. Recent few years, I was able to integrate my meditation and yoga practices a bit more deeply into my life. I teach not because my Asanas are perfect but because I am hoping that this will take me even deeper into my own practices and discipline.

Class description: I genuinely believe in the power of yoga to heal our mind and body. The ultimate goal of yoga is to simply accept ourselves and discover our true inner joy from within. It's an exercise of taking what we learn from the mat into our lives and living authentically. This class will be happening on all weekdays and will be a combination of breathing, asanas and meditation to help us tackle daily stresses of life. It 's not about the level of yoga you are at but about bringing your holistic self and begin with where we are and together explore the intricacies of our body and mind.

Essentrics™ is a workout that will bring balance to your fitness routine! If your fitness routine is concentrating either on flexibility program or strengthening program, Essentrics™ with its mix of strength and flexibility trainings will bring equilibrium to it. Essentrics™ is compliment and not an alternative. Essentrics is not about “no pain no gain” but rather “use it or lose it” Try softer not harder.
The name Essentrics™ came from eccentric training, a technique that strengthens muscles in stretching/lengthening position. This contrasts with typical concentric technique such as lifting weights, which shortens our muscles and stiffens our joint. Isolating that eccentric contraction–the lengthening that takes place while lower the weight–is a powerful way to both strengthen and lengthen muscle.
Essentrics™ movements designed based on the elements of ballet , tai-chi and physiotherapy.
These three elements will bring enjoyment, mostly because you will continue to do it over time. In addition, you will get all physical and mental benefits from these elements: strength, mental agility, increased endurance, increased flexibility, improved posture, more energy, weight loss, more confidence and pain free body.
Each Essentrics™ sequence follows the same flow by first, awakening awareness, second, alignment and third, dynamic and lengthening movements by integrating our own body weight as resistance. Using body weight vs. hand weights doesn’t mean these movements are not challenging. The weight of our bones gives a good amount of resistance to work with.
Essentrics™ movements easy to remember but it is hard to keep active the muscles in charge for stability while engaging muscles in charge of the movements.
If you continue Essentrics™ workout you will not only improve your flexibility, strength, balance and gait but most important you will establish communication between your brain and body movement and step-by-step build your body awareness. This body awareness allows you not only to do the daily living activities, like reaching for the book on the top shelf, pulling the weeds in the garden, removing sweater, but will help you to participate in all kind of different sports, like standing paddle boarding, surfing, playing tennis, swimming and etc. safely and effectively.

Please join me in this Mental Health focused class as we guide students through the gentle Vinyasa Flows, while also encouraging them to inquire from within and become one with their emotions. This class will be a slow-paced, Vinyasa Flow suitable for all skill levels – whether you are completely new to yoga or looking to try classes with a slower pace than your normal workout, my class serves as a “safe space” that you can come to rest your mind at the end of the day. In fact, there are studies that show yoga can improve mental health, increase relaxation, and reduce irritability in those that practice.

My personal journey has brought me to yoga as a healthy coping mechanism and I hope to transfer that knowledge and power to my students. I got my yoga certification last year and have been working on developing my personal practice since then. I also am currently enrolled in a continuing education course which focuses on Trauma Informed Yoga. This is my first step into teaching and I am so excited to be working with Heal One World to start out my journey.
