We hold donation based yoga, meditation and nutrition classes at our Mid-City Studio. Join our community, around since 2009 and committed to equal access to self-care and non-invasive healthcare. We believe the power of media is transformative and awareness raising. We hold the Awareness Film Festival to bring amazing films to Los Angeles that showcase important causes that effect everyone. We hold monthly screening series as well as a yearly large event in downtown. The Awareness Film Festival. Join us to meet like minded people and take advantage of our platforms of wellness and awareness.

IN PERSON: Awaken with Ease: Morning Yin with Chel

This 60-minute Yin Flow is a slow, meditative practice designed to encourage deep release in the body and mind. Poses are held between 3-5 minutes. This class emphasizes mindful breathing, stillness, and looking inward. Expect a grounded, calming pace with props offered to support you in each pose. This practice is ideal for all levels. Teacher Bio:
Chel's Sound Journey was born from a deep passion for holistic health. As someone who has personally experienced the profound effects of sound healing, I felt compelled to share this gift with others as a certified sound healer. I created a serene space dedicated to fostering relaxation and healing. I am an experienced and passionate yoga instructor. Who is registered through the Yoga Alliance. I have 200 hours of training that I received from Yoga Six. I have experience in various yoga styles such as Vinyasa, Yin, and Restorative. I am a certified meditation facilitator. My mission is to merely help guide you on a path to inner peace. Using sound baths as the medium to awaken creativity, increase self-awareness, and improve clarity of the mind. I am here to support you every step of the way, ensuring that each session is tailored to meet your unique needs.

Online Workshop: Intro to Tai Chi

We will cover 8 movements and introduce the meditation walk to combine the standing movements to walking. Perfect for those who have never tried Tai Chi as well as those new or needing a refresher.

Learn Tai Chi with Skye with 7 essential movements. Putting together movement, breath and focus. Tai Chi can improve your overall well being as well as coordination, balance and concentration. Considered by some to be a moving meditation, this is open to beginners and those who practice regularly.
Skye Kelly founded the non profit organization Heal One World in 2009 after her own experiences with disability and the relief she found from non-invasive therapies. She has studied Feldenkrais, Craniosacral Therapy, Visceral Manipulation, Lymphatic Drainage, Zero Balancing, Process Acupuncture, Yoga Therapy, Reiki and Somato Emotional Release. She is a Certified Massage Therapist and Holistic Health Practitioner. She teaches Tai Chi and Yoga and self care at various senior homes and youth programs as well as self care. Skye founded the Awareness Film Festival in 2010 and the festival has grown to 11 days of conscious films as well as art and music in Los Angeles, California. She holds a Master's Degree with further studies in Organization Development at UCLA.

Teacher Bio:
Janet is passionate about Yoga, Ayurveda and holistic health. She is a registered yoga teacher (RYT 200) and Ayurvedic wellness educator. She received her yoga teacher training certification from the Yoga Vidya School based in India. Janet’s yoga classes offer a safe space for you to connect with your inner self, release stagnant energy from your body and breathe a little deeper. Janet began practicing yoga in 2003 and is grateful for her practice due to its physical and mental benefits, as well as the joy it brings to her life.
Class Description:
Whether you are new to yoga, familiar with the practice, or experienced, this yoga class will help you develop balance, strength and flexibility. In this class we will take our time to get into postures focusing on the basics. We will combine yoga postures and breathing exercises to strengthen the body, reduce tension and calm the mind. No yoga experience is required.

I'll also introduce the soothing power of reflective journaling to help you connect your heart, your actions, and your daily life to the goals you set. Let's make this New Year your most intentional and fulfilling one yet!

Teacher Bio:
I am Robin B. Pipkins, an art educator, health and certified wellness coach, blogger, podcast host, and artist with a passion for guiding artistic expression across all ages—from children to seniors.
Creativity flows through my family: I am married to an artist, educator, and puppeteer (Tarish "Jeghetto" Pipkins), and we have three children who are also talented artists.
I have over 20 years of experience as an art teacher and teaching artist. I hold a B.A. degree in Multimedia Technology with a minor in Studio Art, and a Health and Wellness certification from Open Source Wellness. This helps to fuel my passion for exploring diverse artistic and wellness mediums to share with others.

- Unlined or mixed media paper recommended (minimum size 5"x7" or A5)
- Spiral-bound or hardcover preferred for durability
- Black Pen or Fineliner
- Waterproof and smudge-proof if possible
- Micron pens or gel pens are great options

- Water-based or alcohol-based (student-grade is fine)
