The mountains of UAE are one of the most untouched and pristine peaks of the region. However they are now cluttered with rubbish that is dimming the beauty of their peaks as well as impacting the climate adversely.
Do you know aluminum can take 80 to 100 years to decompose, a plastic bag and a bottle will take 500 years to forever to decompose?
Plastic is not just clogging landfill sites and threatening our oceans and marine life; its also killing the pristine peaks of our world and accelerating climate change. Plastic is one of the most persistent pollutants on Earth. It's made to last - and it does, often for 400 years or more.
The mountains need our help as its unique fauna and flora have a short reproductive time frame and are sensitive to disturbance. Too many trekkers and tourists are upsetting the natural balance of the mountain.
We organize easy yet adventurous treks in some of the most beautiful peaks of UAE where you will experience the joy of trekking and unveil the beauty of mountains to your soul along with helping reduce the impact plastic and other rubbish has on the mountains with our "Mountain clean up drive".
We are intended to form a volunteer based association with an idea to execute Mountain clean-up drives on weekends with those who who have the thirst for adventure and a heart to preserve and protect nature.
Each Volunteer will be given gloves and trash bags. Following the trail with the group, all the non-biodegradable waste will be collected such as glass bottles, broken glass, plastic etc. and put in the dustbins on our way.
Please remember if you keep the nature clean, Mother Nature shall bestow upon your soul a wholesome and a gratifying experience.
