...to 'grill' the 2 brave companies to be on stage.

The opportunity for med/health tech companies to support the transformation of healthcare continues to grow, with the health tech startup sector playing an important role in supporting the ongoing evolution of healthcare. This event aims to provide practical insights to support aspiring health tech start-ups, as well as those seeking to commercialise new products, in maximising their impacts.

The Health Tech Speed Clinic will take a quick, direct, yet penetrating look at healthcare and medtech companies in their steps towards product commercialisation and market entry.

Pointing the spotlight on two brave companies, the Clinic will put them through the piercing judgement of a healthcare industry expert panel, who will assess and evaluate their efforts towards product commercialisation, diagnosing strengths and weaknesses, and prescribing recommendations to support successful outcomes.

Company #1 - Innovationskraft Pte Ltd

Innovationskraft Pte. Ltd. is a spin-off start-up that resulted from a final-year project done under the Engineering Design and Innovation Centre in National University of Singapore, Faculty of Engineering

With the rising incidence of stroke and illnesses that lead to it, the number of stroke victims is set to increase in the future. Yet, the number of medical professionals involved in the rehabilitation efforts of stroke victims is not expected to increase. Innovationskraft seeks to replace the traditional method of mirror therapy and improve the efficiency of medical professionals especially physiotherapists, allowing them to treat more patients, more effectively. This would reduce the therapy duration for the elderly, with less time spent in hospitals and clinics.

Company #2 - Sprightly Pte Ltd.

Springhtly Pte. Ltd. is here to build digital health technology to address the challenge of capturing patient-reported data / outcomes and integrating this information into physician and healthcare provider decision-making processes. The objective is to support improved outcomes for patients, clinicians and the healthcare system

Then, remember the two companies that had gone through the Speed Clinic last year? Yes, we're going to bring one of them back (NephTech (http://www.nephtech.com.sg/)), and share their progress, one year on.

Program

Here’s the program.

7.00pm – Company 1 pitch

7.15pm – Grilling by panellists

7.30pm – Company 2 pitch

7.45pm – Grilling by panellists

8.15pm - previous company sharing their progress 1 year on

8.30pm – Open discussion

9.00pm – End

The panellists are free to provide guidance to the two companies thereafter, and for that matter, anyone from our group that gets in touch with them.

Networking

And as usual, you’d get to meet people that have the same interests, needs and wants as you do, so it’ll be a lot of fun!

We can’t do self-introductions as per our group practices, but we hope like-minded folks can gather, pool resources or even seek help collectively to further the sharing economy.

Although this event is held in Singapore, we'll look to have video conferencing for such meetups - happen to have a friend that learnt how to do this in his meetup events.

Not your usual speaker or panel discussion kind of event. Something different, hopefully fun and useful!

Cheers, Ee Bin
