Todd Park used to say "¡Viva La Revolución!" and indeed, he helped ignite massive change in healthcare. Now the job is again up to us to envision and evolve healthcare until it is better, less costly, and more accessible to all.

Consider that without Amazon, Apple, Google, and facebook, the revolution that TCP/IP created never would have changed the world like it did.

Now PPACA, MACRA, DSRIP and other government initiatives, just like TCP/IP, have created a framework for the evolution of care. Now it is time for the Steve Jobs, Jeff Bezoses, Mark Zuckerbergs, Sergey Brins and Larry Pages to step up and evolve the care models from the ground up and evolve healthcare.

Join us to meet a few of these disruptive innovators, these pioneers: Jay Parkinson, MD, Rich Park, MD, and Greg Downing,DO where they will talk about what they are doing, how they got so far, and what comes next as they evolve healthcare before our very eyes.

Note: Due to building security requirements NO WALK-INS WILL BE ALLOWED - so get your tickets ahead of time please. We will need your first and last name (again, building security!)

Speakers

Greg Downing, DO is a clinician and the Executive Director of Innovation at the US department of Health & Human Services - the formerly invisible hand at HHS that has been behind many of the changes that have come out of Washington for the past decade as we explore what needs to be done next, who is doing it, and who will get done what was so well begun.

Rich Park, MD is the founder and CEO of CityMD, the rapidly growing urgent care network that is reshaping how emergency medicine works in many ways. As one of the most patient-centric physician leaders we have seen, his vision for how to recreate care paradigms is one that we need to hear about.

Jay Parkinson, MD, MPH - Jay Parkinson, MD, MPH is a physician who trained in pediatrics and preventive medicine at Johns Hopkins University. Since 2007, Jay has redefined the doctor visit and challenged how doctors and patients communicate and solve problems together. He created the world’s first internet-enabled house call practice in 2007, founded and designed the first cloud-based electronic medical record in 2008 called Hello Health, and ideated and designed one of the most popular iPad apps for physicians, Omnio, through his design firm, The Future Well. Five years ago, he founded Sherpaa, the world’s first primary care-in-the-cloud practice that cares for the employees at some of the most well-known and innovative companies in the world.

He has given talks on the new frontiers that technology creates for health and medical care at over 50 conferences including TED, Google’s Zeitgeist, the Clinton Global Initiative, The Aspen Institute, and Pop!Tech.
