"Who is Alex?", you ask? Alex Fair has been bringing the Health 2.0 Community together here since 2010 with over 180 events and countless newsletters. He started MedStartr.com in 2012 and running healthcare innovation contests and Open Innovation programs for HHS, AMA, AHA, Takeda, New Orleans, HP, J&J, AMIA,... in 2013. Finally, after helping hundreds of companies get formed, found and funded faster he opened his first venture fund in 2017 and his second in 2019. MedStartr now underwrites all the events and our staff and our portfolio startup founders like the amazing Avish Nessavier (https://www.linkedin.com/in/avishanessaiver/) of Biyra Biotech help make all the magic happen in the group.

As anyone who knows Alex (as most of your do) knows, his favorite thing is seeing the best new ideas in healthcare, so we will also have a giant pitch contest!
