One Medical Sponsored Happy Hour
Details
Our 1,798th member, LaTeisha posted this event.
We are very happy to support and help everyone hear about it here. As most know, the events at Health 2.0 NYC are user-generated, meaning YOU tell us what to do, what event to have next... Anyone can propose an event by clicking Suggest a New Meetup (http://www.health20nyc.com/) link. Next we just see what events attract RSVPs. Of course, if you are offering a happy hour with awesome inspiring companies, that is a no brainer. Thank you LaTeisha for suggesting this one!
Here is her posting, "My friend Elizabeth Gould is hosting a happy hour that is being sponsored by One Medical Group. There will be appetizers, drinks, and even gratis One Medical memberships for all! While I don't think One Medical will be doing any sort of presentation at the event, it's a good excuse for Health 2.0 NYC members to get together over some snacks and libations. Hope to see you there!
Be sure to register here: http://gould.eventbrite.com/
And here's more on One Medical itself: http://www.nytimes.com/2011/02/01/health/01medical.html?_r=3&pagewanted=1&ref=science "
We could not agree more! One Medical has changed how many doctors think about practicing medicine. One Medical practices are not insurance-based and therefor the doctors can focus on the patient, not what will be paid for or how they could possibly see a new patient every 7 minutes and keep the level of care as high as possible. But don't ask me, as the founder of FairCareMD (http://www.faircaremd.com) and chief architect of the MPADS patient engagement portal (http://www.mpads.com), I am extremely biased, ask their patients! One of my co-founders at FairCare was among their first patients and he loved the experience. He actually paid out of pocket for the service rather than use his insurance. Now that needs no CAHPCS survey to determine patient satisfaction!
So come on out and join us. Mingle with the healthcare innovators on NYC. You guys rock! I am looking forward to seeing you all there - though only 100 can come.
RSVP here to show us your face and click through to the eventbrite too (http://gould.eventbrite.com/) if you like. I will give our list to LaTeisha anyway.
AND if that isn't enough One Medical for you, founder Tom Lee is speaking at the Life Science Angel Network Event on the 12th. Register for that now with our promo code of "H20". (http://www.eventbrite.com/event/3458256739)
Have a Great Weekend!
