Hike the 6 mile Red Loop trail at Tenoroc

The hike will start at Picnic Lake is a lovely 6 miles. Mostly on the trails. The pace will be 2 - 2.5 mph.

We will leave promptly at 9:00 am, so please allow at least 15 minutes to get from the welcome center to Picnic lake.

Don't forget water, bug repellent, good shoes / hiking boots & AT LEAST 1 liter/quart of water..

I'll stop at the Welcome Center at 8:15 , and give them your names, this way you do not have to pay. From there it is about another mile driving on Tenoroc Mine Road to get to Picnic Lake. I will be standing at the end of the cones before the check-in station until 8:40. Give me you name & I will check you off, Then go straight to Picnic Lake to check in with the hike leader. I will then give my list to the check attendant. You must be signed up on Meetup to attend.

This hike is open to the public, lead by Heartland Chapter of the Florida Trail Association (FTA).

If you come on your own there is a $ 3.00 entrance fee.
