About us
🌳 The Heartland Chapter is one of 19 chapters in the Florida Trail Association which is a non-profit volunteer group that maintains the Florida National Scenic Trail (FNST) -- a 1,500-mile thru hiking trail from Big Cypress National Preserve in Ochopee up to the Panhandle. 🧡 Heartland Chapter is responsible for the maintenance of 59+ miles of the FNST plus multiple loop trails throughout Polk, Highlands, Hardee and Desoto counties. 💚 For more information about our family-friendly chapter, go to www.floridatrail.org and click on the tabs "GET INVOLVED" and "📌Find Your Local Chapter".
