What we’re about
My friend , Shamirah Nannozi, created a nursery/ pre-school/primary school for disadvantaged children in Uganda, Africa. Little Hands Big Minds Academy opened in February, in the Wakiso district near the capital city of Kampala. The former organizer connected Shamirah with a former NYC teacher who shared the same dream of creating a school in Africa. She donated seed money to Shamirah and the school to do the necessary work to make their dream a reality!
In the first term, 8 children attended. They enjoyed the experience so much, they ALL returned for their second term. They were joined by 3 new students...now there are ELEVEN children in school!!!
Shamirah needs help to SUSTAIN the school. Go Fund Me campaigns will eventually be utilized also. Anyone who has ANYTHING to offer:
