Intercultural Club: Connection in Motion
πΏ Connection in Motion: A Nonverbal Communication Experience
How much do we communicate before we even speak?
A glance.
A pause.
A gesture.
Standing too close, or too far away.
A nod that may mean yes, maybe, respect, discomfort, or misunderstanding.
In Connection in Motion, we will explore nonverbal communication as an intercultural experience. Through guided reflection, small moments of interaction, and live movement illustrations with Berlin-based modern dancer Mayuko Hiramatsu and myself, we will look at how culture shapes the way we move, relate, and read each other.
This is an engaging, reflective, and connecting experience for people curious about culture, communication, body language, belonging, and connection across differences.
Who is this for?
π International professionals living and working across cultures
πΌ Leaders, team members, and facilitators interested in communication and collaboration
π International students and researchers navigating new cultural environments
π€ Locals and internationals curious about building more meaningful connection across cultures
β¨ Anyone interested in body language, nonverbal communication, and human connection.
This is not a dance session, and you will not be asked to perform. You can participate at your own pace, in a way that feels comfortable for you, while exploring what often happens before words.
Language: The session will be facilitated in English, with German support available when needed. Multilingual exchange is welcome, especially in small-group conversations and shared reflections.
