Our exciting lineup of speakers includes:
Amir Haleem is the CEO and Co-Founder of Helium. Amir is a technology veteran, formerly serving as the CTO & Co-Founder at Diversion. He was also the first to receive an athlete Visa granted to an eSports gamer. Helium was founded in 2013 by Amir, Shawn Fanning of Napster, and Sean Carey. The company has raised equity funding from some of the most prominent Venture Capital (VC) firms in the world including GV (formerly Google Ventures), Khosla Ventures, FirstMark Capital, Marc Benioff, SV Angel, Slow Ventures, and others.
Sam Lessin is currently the co-founder and co-CEO of Fin. He also invests in tech startups through Slow Ventures, where he is a partner and interns for The Information. He was formerly a vice president of product management at Facebook from 2010 to 2014, where he managed the People, Places, and Things product group and the Identity product group. Prior to joining Facebook Sam founded drop.io, a file-sharing platform that was acquired by Facebook in 2010. Before drop.io Sam was an associate at Bain and Company. In his spare time Sam enjoys skiing and kite-surfing. He is married to Jessica Lessin, founder of The Information.
David King is an engineer, entrepreneur, and angel investor who organizes a community of crypto builders in San Francisco. He worked on product early at Google, founded/sold a virtual currency company built on the Facebook platform, and now helps new startups, especially ones focused on building new cryptocurrencies and infrastructure.
Jill Carlson is an advisor to cryptocurrency and blockchain-based ventures. Her background combines academic expertise in cryptocurrency with practical experience bringing blockchain technology to market. She works to craft commercial and operational strategies with projects ranging from pre-seed stage ventures to initiatives within large incumbent organizations.
Preethi Kasireddy is the founder and CEO of TruStory, a social network for users to collectively research and validate claims that people make online. She was previously a partner at Andreessen Horowitz, a banker at Goldman Sachs, and most recently a software engineer at Coinbase. She’s an avid learner who taught herself how to code, and is passionate about educating the world about blockchain and cryptocurrencies.
Adam Ludwin is the co-founder and CEO of Interstellar, which helps institutions leverage the Stellar network. Prior to Interstellar, Adam was the co-founder and CEO of Chain from 2014 until its acquisition by Lightyear in 2018. Prior to being a start-up operator, Adam was a VC with RRE Ventures in NYC. He began his career as a consultant, first with BCG and later with IDEO. He holds a BS from UC Berkeley and an MBA from Harvard Business School.
