Royal Ascot is a great day out, whether or not you are a horse racing fan. The weather has been great the last two years. It’s a great day to dress up a bit and watch the racing and the royals, if you are into that. We will be in the Windsor enclosure.
A coach will leave from the Bell in Bovingdon around 10.20 am and then go and pick people up at Hemel Hempstead railway station at around 10.30 am. You must make sure you are there on time (please arrive 10-15 minutes before your departure time) and that you let us know what stop you will be at.
You can take your own chairs and picnics, although last year they had quite a lot of chairs. There is a limit on how much alcohol can be taken in. I will send more info on this later once we have a final list of attendees.
After the horse racing there is a cover band playing and people usually dance until it comes to an end around 7.45 p.m. whereupon we will get the coach back home, stopping at the same stops on the way back. Any surplus on transport will go towards driver tip and on a group horse bet on day, where we will share any profits.
No refunds will be given unless another member pays to take your place, so please check the date & ensure you are able to attend before making payment.
