Welcome to the Henderson Libraries Meetup group! Yes, we've got books, but did you know we also offer tons of fun, informative, and FREE activities for adults? We've got something for everyone, from book clubs, writing workshops, and a local author showcase, to art exhibits, STEAM programs, cultural events, a crafting club, health seminars, a mini comic con, and more.

Celebrate with Henderson Libraries in our annual. Get a glimpse into Chinese culture by listening to the Guqin, an ancient Chinese musical instrument performed by BeeLee from Shaolin Tai Chi Heritage/Cultural Center. Guqin, also known as the Chinese Zither, has existed for over 3,000 years. Guqin was originally performed by noblemen's and scholars 'in intimate settings, not seen by the public. This traditional instrument typically required twenty years of training to become a master of this stringed instrument.
This program is part of One Book, One Henderson, our community-wide book club featuring the novel "The Fox Wife" by Yangsze Choo.
- Avoiding Fraud and Scams - Mastering Money series presented by ChaseJames I Gibson Library, Henderson, NV
#### This month's workshop focuses on protecting yourself against fraud and scams commonly targeting older adults.
With fraud and scams on the rise, it’s important to educate yourself. In this workshop, you’ll learn how keeping organized can help keep you safe, how to spot common scams affecting older adults and help protect yourself, and what to do if you or a loved one is impacted by fraud or identity theft. A Las Vegas Metro PD detective will be speaking as part of the workshop presentation so that participants get the perspective of both law enforcement and banking. Though the workshop targets older adults, the information may be helpful for adults of any age.
Learn to manage your finances and shape your financial future with FREE one-hour workshops at the Henderson Library District in partnership with Chase. The Mastering Money Series is a set of financial literacy programs providing unbiased education for the local community. Learn about saving, budgeting, building your credit, managing debt, homebuying, and more. Attendees do not need to be affiliated with Chase Bank to participate.
