Welcome to the Henderson Libraries Meetup group! Yes, we've got books, but did you know we also offer tons of fun, informative, and FREE activities for adults? We've got something for everyone, from book clubs, writing workshops, and a local author showcase, to art exhibits, STEAM programs, cultural events, a crafting club, health seminars, a mini comic con, and more.

All programs are free and open to the public. Registration not required unless specified. You don't even need a library card to attend (though it might be a good idea to get one -- we do have lots of really cool books).

Health Care Power of Attorney Workshop
Paseo Verde Library, 280 S Green Valley Pkwy, Henderson, NV 89012, USA, Henderson, NV, USAny seniors, 60 and over, are invited to take advantage of meeting with an attorney to create a Health Care Power of Attorney at no cost, to express medical wishes, should you be hospitalized.
Each appointment will take approximately 1 hour. SPACE IS LIMITED and requires that an appointment be booked for 1pm, 2pm, or 3pm.

Southern Nevada Senior Law Program (SLP) is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit legal assistance organization helping seniors aged 60 and older, at no cost. They do not income qualify or ask about immigration status. Last year they helped more than 2,500 vulnerable seniors have their legal rights protected by helping them draft their Power of Attorney Health Care and Will, assisting with evictions, elder abuse/exploitation and help with scams/fraud/ID theft, merchant disputes, public entitlements, and more.
