Her Adventure Hike for Women--River Place Trail

Details
This group hike is open and welcoming to newcomers.
About the hike:
River Place Nature Trail is a challenge 5.5 mile round trip hike. We'll start at the pond on Big View Rd. We'll hike all the way to the other end and back. Plenty of stairs along the way--come prepared for a challenge! You MUST bring at least 1 liter of water, preferably more.

Friendly dogs on leashes always welcome to join our group and are allowed at River Place as well.
Note--there is a $10 fee on weekends to use this trail in a private neighborhood. Sometimes there is someone there charging and sometimes not--bring a credit card to pay the fee and we can be surprised if no one is there to collect the fee at the time.
Parking:
Free street parking is available along Big View Dr.
Optional post-hike social time:
We typically plan an optional social activity (usually involving food!) after the hike. Join us at Ski Shores Cafe (dog friendly).
About Her Adventure:
We are Bobbie and Katy--two friends who have enjoyed spending time hiking and backpacking. We noticed that when we are in the backcountry, we don't see a whole lot of other women--probably due to a lot of factors (historical lack of representation, marketing, fear drilled into us by friends/family that the woods aren't safe, bro culture, etc). So we started Her Adventure with the goal of helping folks see themselves as hikers, adventurers, and strong ass humans who can haul their bodies up and over mountains. We're here to help cultivate the journey and sense of community.
