Walk for Women at Ladybird Johnson Wildflower Center

Her Adventure is open and welcoming to newcomers. Katy and/or Bobbie usually arrive 30 min early for anyone who is new or feeling anxious, please feel free to meet us early!
We are going to begin a checkin process in order to help regulate the RSVP and ensure everyone who wants to join has an opportunity . Please make sure to connect withth Bobbie and Katy when you arrive.
Let's take a walk at the Wildflower Center
We will walk around and explore the wildflower center together. Likely between 2-3 miles total, taking our time to enjoy the wildflower viewing, climb the tower for those interested, and meander throughout the center.
This will require you to purchase your ticket in advance. Please visit the Wildflower Center website to purchase your ticket. Entry is $18 for adults and $12 for kids. Free for members!
This is a kid friendly event. Please feel free to bring your kids along!
Let's meet at:
The entrance to the park. You will find either Katy or Bobbie (or both) wearing a Her Adventure t-shirt. We will gather here and meet each other before we begin our walk.
Parking in the lot can be limited. Carpool suggested if possible.
What to bring:
Sunscreen/sun hat, water bottle, comfy shoes (tennis shoes are great for this location)
Optional social time:
Afterward please feel free to join us at the cafe outdoor area for a snack (bring your own or buy something in the cafe) and some social time. Wildflower Cafe
Who we are:
We are a hiking group dedicated to creating a place for women (trans and non-binary inclusive) to feel safe and comfortable exploring nature. Her Adventure began with the goal of helping folks see themselves as hikers, adventurers, and strong ass humans who can haul their bodies up and over mountains. We're here to help cultivate the journey and sense of community.
